Forschungsinteressen

Ich interessiere mich für die Schnittstelle zwischen Gehirn und Verhalten und meine Forschung ist generell von den Fragen geleitet, wie das Gehirn das Verhalten beeinflusst und andersherum, das Verhalten das Gehirn. Ich beschäftige mich mit Funktionsprinzipien, Plastizität und Kognition in kleinen Gehirnen und untersuche dies an Spinnen, insbesondere Springspinnen.

Darüber hinaus bin ich seit langem an der Faunistik und Taxonomie von Libellen (Odonata) in Süd-Ost Asien interessiert.

 Aktuell arbeite ich an:

- Funktionelle Rollen und Plastizität von Gehirnarealen bei Spinnen.

- Taxonomie und Verbreitung von Libellen auf Borneo und in Vietnam.
