Research visits to Aarhus, Denmark and Berkeley, California

Monica spent the end of the year traveling to Denmark and California. In Aarhus, Denmark, she visited the spider group there (PI: Trine Bilde http://www.spiderlab.dk/trine-bilde.html), giving a talk in the Genetics, Ecology and Evolution department seminar. While there, Monica also worked with PhD student Tobias Sandfeld on methods to measure the oxygen content of spider midguts. She then set off for a 2.5 month research stay in Berkeley, California, where she completed all of the lab work for a genomics project on Argiope bruennichi and presented her work in two seminars. Welcome back, Monica!
