We just released a chapter on arrow worms (Chaetognatha) in the book "Miscellaneous Invertebrates." This is the latest addition to the book series "Handbook of Zoology," the first volume of which was published 100 years ago. The Chaetognatha represent one of the most enigmatic groups in the animal kingdom with respect to to their zoosystematic affiliation. Our chapter gives a comprehensive overview of chaetognath biology including subchapters on taxonomy, inner and outer phylogeny, anatomy, ecology, and behaviour. We evaluate the significance of new and traditionally used morphological characters for the phylogenetic debate.
