Research Interests
I am an early-career chemical ecologist working on how chemical signals shape ecological and evolutionary interactions. My research centres on pheromones and their role in mating behaviour, sexual conflict, and social interactions in arthropods. I combine chemical and behavioural approaches to understand how communication systems influence reproductive strategies.
My doctoral work focuses on the Mediterranean black widow (Latrodectus tredecimguttatus), where I:
Investigate pheromone-mediated interactions across sexes and contexts (female–male, male–female, male–male, and female–female).
Identify and profile chemical signals using metabolomic approaches (LC-MS/MS and GC-MS) alongside behavioural assays.
