I am a PhD candidate at the University of Greifswald and a research associate at the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde in Stuttgart in the Department of Malacozoology. In my PhD project, which also involves the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris, I focus on the systematics and biogeography of groundwater and spring inhabiting snails of the family Tateidae. In the course of my work, I aim to explore questions of phylogeny and speciation as well as diversity patterns and biogeography. In doing so, I combine genetic methods with classical morphological approaches.
