We are pleased to announce that our Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs has officially approved the new denomination for the chair Mobile Multimedia Information Systems, which is part of the VAC institute. It will now be titled Hybrid Methods in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
This new denomination now correctly reflects the core focus of the chair in research and teaching: the integration of symbolic, probabilistic, and neural approaches within the domains of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Since its inception, the group has pursued a hybrid methodology that bridges foundational AI paradigms, and we are excited that its name now aligns with its mission.
