The upcoming Physics Day will take place on March 4, 2025 at the Institute of Physics at the University of Rostock. 23 schools from all over the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with more than 300 students will participate in this year's Physics Day.
For the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, everything at our institute will revolve around the topic of quantum physics throughout the year. The starting point is our Physics Day. In addition to the lighthouse competition, in which, as usual, the smartest physics minds in our country will compete for the lighthouse cup, there will be an extensive all-round program with an experimentarium, laboratory and practical tours, lectures and our great show lecture. Scientists will provide insights into their current research areas and everyday life as a student at our institute. The groups of pupils are guided through all areas by students and scientists and have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a good exchange.
