On May 27, 2025, the Ludwig Bölkow Technology Award was presented at the Fraunhofer IGP premises. In a festive setting, all 19 applicants were given the opportunity to present their innovations once again in short pitches, demonstrating the inventive and energetic minds that Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has to offer. The well-deserved winner of the prize was Coldplasmatech with its innovative cold plasma therapy for wound healing. A special prize was awarded to the company Hydronauten for its idea for low-vibration and more efficient pump systems. Since 2003, the “LUDWIG-BÖLKOW Technology Prize Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania” has been awarded by the Ministry of Economics of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in cooperation with the state's three chambers of industry and commerce.

The Center for AI in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania gladly accepted the organizers' invitation and contributed a presentation by Dr. Anne Gutschmidt on the topic of “AI as a driver of innovation” to the festive program.
