The influence of sex (biological sex) and gender (social gender) on surgical outcomes is becoming increasingly important. This symposium is dedicated to the question of how gender-specific aspects influence clinical outcomes. The focus is on biological differences as well as lifestyle factors that significantly influence the development of diseases and the choice of suitable surgical procedures.
An exciting field of research at the conference will shed light on the influence of the surgeon's gender on treatment outcomes. Current studies reveal fascinating findings that open up new perspectives for surgical practice.
