Successful Artificial Intelligence Day in Rostock!

On 26 February 2025, the Day of Artificial Intelligence took place in the Konrad-Zuse-Haus, organized by the Center for Artificial Intelligence in MV (KI MV), the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Rostock University Medicine and the Digital Change Office. Together, innovative developments in artificial intelligence in medicine were presented and it was shown how AI is revolutionizing daily work in hospitals and science.

The event offered insights into exciting research projects, including imaging, dementia and biomaterial research, genome research and the visualization of large amounts of data. Quality criteria for the sensible use of AI were also highlighted to help select the best methods for practical application.

Minister Bettina Martin and Minister Christian Pegel honored the Day of AI with very interesting and inspiring greetings, which illustrate the extraordinary relevance of the topic for the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern!

The AI Day was a great success, as the lecture hall was filled to the last seat and the participation and interest were huge.

This success is a result of the collaboration between IEF and Rostock University Medical Center, which together launched the AI4SmartTechnologies research initiative with the aim of developing AI health technologies at university level and translating them into state-wide solutions and commercial applications.

The KI MV team would like to thank all visitors, speakers and guests for their curiosity and interest!

PS: The next BigData Workshop of KI MV is already scheduled for April 28th - so make a note! ;)
