The Faculty of Architecture and Design at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, is hosting its annual DIA'25 exhibition during the summer on its campus, at locations in the old town of the Hanseatic City of Wismar and on the island of Poel. A wide range of student research projects and final projects from the Architectural Lighting Design, Architecture, Design - Product and Jewellery, Interior Design, Communication Design and Media and Material Culture Design degree programmes will be presented. Programme items such as short lectures in Pecha Kucha format, the student council's Living Room Open Air, a reading by the student editorial team Norte and a discussion experiment are also planned alongside the exhibitions with their various running and opening times.

The Faculty of Architecture ans Design has been organising its annual exhibition DIA (short for Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture) since 2006. Over the years, it has also become a platform for dialogue and a meeting place for the north-eastern design scene - lively, open and inspiring. All interested parties are cordially invited. The events are free of charge. The entire programme will be published online at www.fg.hs-wismar.de/dia.

This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the faculty building House 7, the first new building at Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, after reunification, which was opened in 2000 and includes Houses 7a, 7b and 7c. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Building and Property Administration was responsible for this construction project. A Europe-wide architectural competition was held before the design by the Cologne-based architectural firm „Lepel & Lepel” was commissioned for further development. House 7 houses studios and workshops, seminar rooms, offices and laboratories, for example.
