This time, participation was a bit different for Dr. Laima Gerlizt. She was not invited to present achievements in the maritime related projects, like DigitechPort2030, but be a speaker and a lead within one of the three plenary debates: MARITIME DIMENSION – ADVANCING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TEN-T NETWORK. With the five panellists, Gesine Meissner, European Coordinator for the European Maritime Space, Jacob Gebraad, Secretary General, Waterborne Technology Platform, Jonas Olsson, Chancellery, Baltic-Link Association, Rafał Zahorski, Plenipotentiary for Ports Development, Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority, Ansis Zeltiņš, CEO port of Riga, Chair European Sea Ports Organisation, future prospects of the TEN-T Network were discussed and collaboration opportunities in and across the EU stressed. AI, decarbonisation, collaboration, learning and trust building were among keywords heard during the panel and the entire conference.

Dr. Laima Gerlitz took part on behalf of the EPC and DigiTechPort2030 project following the invitation of the Marshal’s Office of the Westpomeranian Region, Territorial Cooperation and Tourism Department. On the 16th of May 2025 Dr. Laima Gerlitz grasped also the opportunity to visit the Marshal’s Office and to learn about circular buildings and sustainable operation of the public buildings, like the Marshal’s Office is – green, circular, attractive and inclusive.

“This is another unique opportunity to stress collaboration with policymakers and key maritime business stakeholders. Not to forget – HSW and EPC were also noted as strong and trustful collaboration partners. It is an important event to make Wismar and the region of Mecklenburg-Pomerania as collaborative and motivated partners to Poland and in the EU”, so Dr. Laima Gerlitz.
