Wismar University of Applied Sciences has been funding another cooperative doctoral project since 1 April 2025: Julia Matela, a graduate of the Business Informatics M. Sc. programme, has been awarded an internal university doctoral scholarship for three years. Under the supervision of Prof Dr Frank Krüger (Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering) and in cooperation with the University of Greifswald, she is researching efficient algorithms for data integration. She is developing an innovative approach for the efficient integration of unstructured data from different sources, which promises considerable progress in the construction of knowledge graphs and the precise resolution of entities, thereby significantly optimising the processing of large amounts of data.
