On April 29, the festive event to celebrate 20 years of the Baltic-German University Liaison Office (BDHK) took place in Riga. The BDHK promotes cooperation between universities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and universities in Germany. The support takes place within the framework of projects and is financed by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Foreign Office. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is one of the founding members of the BDHK and was represented at the festive event by Minister of Science Bettina Martin, among others, who emphasized the importance of the BDHK in a speech. Kurt Sandkuhl has been a member of the BDHK Advisory Board for over 10 years and also took part in the celebratory event and the Board of Trustees meeting on April 30. In addition to welcome speeches, a keynote speech, and expert contributions from four currently funded projects, a birthday cake (see photo) was also served during the break.
