Shape the Future: From Unconscious Bias to Conscious and Inclusive Leadership

This one-day workshop provides early-career researchers — particularly from the medical sciences, but open to all disciplines — with practical tools to reflect on their leadership potential and foster diversity-sensitive collaboration.

Differentiated perception and conscious communication are essential keys to creating an environment of appreciation, meaningful collaboration, and innovation. By strengthening awareness of unconscious biases and the development of inclusive leadership skills, participants will be empowered to actively contribute to a more inclusive research and leadership culture.

The workshop combines interactive exercises, reflection on participants' professional contexts, and focused expert input. A particular emphasis will be placed on lifecycle-oriented personnel development and gender sensitivity.

Participants will:

• Reflect on biases, blind spots, and unconscious thought patterns in research and everyday leadership practice.
• Sharpen their awareness of stereotyping mechanisms and learn how to address them constructively.
• Critically explore and expand their (future) leadership role, gaining practical approaches to act diversity-sensitively across different hierarchical settings.
• Learn about key leadership principles and conditions for successful inclusive leadership and team development.

Optional individual coaching is possible for a limited number of participants.
