Trademark protection - everything from the basics to successful registration

Brands surround us. They serve to identify companies, allow us to recognize goods and services quickly and we associate them with quality and guarantees. Customer trust and customer loyalty. But what needs to be considered in order to register and use the “power of the brand" successfully?

This practice-oriented seminar provides information on the various types of trademarks and the pitfalls involved in creating such a special trademark. The scope of protection, distinctiveness, and alternatives will be discussed using examples. The free online database “DPMAregister” of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office DPMA will be presented in detail - other databases will be shown briefly. Participants will research an example trademark or their ideas under supervision and discuss the trademark law aspects together. Finally, all participants will be guided through the DPMA's “DPMAdirektWeb” tool for signatureless online trademark registration, so that nothing stands in the way of realizing their ideas.

Participation is free of charge.
