Artistic Staff
(künstlerische*r Mitarbeiter*in).
The position on offer is permanent. Payment will be made according to pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.
The Caspar David Friedrich Institute offers the opportunity to study art history and fine arts at one institute. One focus is the training of future teachers in the area of art and design. We place particular emphasis on interdisciplinary projects, experimental approaches and practical questions.
Job description:
- Artistic services mainly in teaching; the teaching load is based on LVVO M-V (currently planned: 10 classes à 45 min. per semester)
- Artistic teaching in the teacher-training degree courses in secondary education as well as in the master's degree in fine arts
- Teaching activities with a focus on artistic practice in the field of drawing, free graphics and painting; these include: basics of drawing and painting e.g. composition, colour theory, artistic concepts, as well as nature study and abstraction
- Supervision of students in the painting and drawing rooms
- Organisation of the painting and drawing rooms
- Organising and supervising students' artistic projects, e.g. exhibition projects, excursions
- Collaboration on the further development of degree courses in fine arts (Teacher-Training Degree in Art and Design, master's degree in Fine Arts)
- Participation in the self-governing bodies of the Institute
Job Requirements:
- Artistic university degree from an art college (Diplom, master’s or equivalent)
- At least three years of professional experience after completion of a university degree in a practical field of arts
- Teaching experience in the field of artistic teaching at a higher education institution
- Own artistic work with regular exhibitions at home and abroad
Desirable:
- Erstes Staatsexamen (First State Examination) in teaching art at secondary schools or professional experience in teaching art at a secondary school
